施工管理技士には、担当する工事の種類によって7つの区分があります。さらに、それぞれに1級と2級の区別があり、管理できる工事の規模や範囲が異なります。
工事種別による7つの区分
- 建築施工管理技士: 住宅や商業ビル、マンション、学校などの建築工事の施工管理を行います。
- 2級には「建築」「躯体」「仕上げ」の種別があり、それぞれ特定の分野の工事を担当します。
- 土木施工管理技士: 道路、橋梁、ダム、河川、トンネルなどの土木工事の施工管理を行います。
- 電気工事施工管理技士: ビルや工場などの電気設備工事の施工管理を行います。
- 管工事施工管理技士: 空調設備、給排水設備、ガス管などの配管工事の施工管理を行います。
- 造園施工管理技士: 公園、緑地、庭園などの造園工事の施工管理を行います。
- 建設機械施工管理技士: ブルドーザー、ショベルカーなどの建設機械を使用する工事の施工管理を行います。
- 電気通信工事施工管理技士: 電話回線やインターネット回線、携帯基地局などの電気通信設備の設置工事を管理します。
級別による違い
- 1級施工管理技士:
- 大規模かつ重要な建設工事において「監理技術者」として現場を管理できます。
- 担当する工事の規模に制限はありません。
- 2級施工管理技士:
- 比較的小規模な工事で「主任技術者」として現場を管理できます。
- 担当できる工事の規模や種類に制限があります。
補足：技士補について
2021年の法改正により、第一次検定に合格すると「施工管理技士補」の資格が与えられます。技士補は、監理技術者の補佐役として、主任技術者の業務の一部を担うことができます。
There are seven classifications for construction management engineers based on the type of construction they are responsible for. Furthermore, each classification is divided into Grade 1 and Grade 2, which determine the scale and scope of construction they can manage.
Seven Classifications by Construction Type
Architectural Construction Management Engineer: Manages construction work on residential, commercial, condominium, and school buildings.
Grade 2 construction management engineers are divided into “architecture,” “structure,” and “finishing,” each responsible for a specific field of construction.
Civil Engineering Construction Management Engineer: Manages construction work on civil engineering projects such as roads, bridges, dams, rivers, and tunnels.
Electrical Construction Management Engineer: Manages construction work on electrical equipment in buildings and factories.
Plumbing Construction Management Engineer: Manages construction work on plumbing such as air conditioning systems, water supply and drainage systems, and gas pipes.
Landscaping Construction Management Engineer: Manages construction work on landscaping projects such as parks, green spaces, and gardens.
Construction Equipment Construction Management Engineer: Manages construction work using construction machinery such as bulldozers and excavators.
Telecommunications Construction Management Engineer: Oversees the installation of telecommunications equipment such as telephone lines, internet lines, and mobile base stations.
Differences by Grade
Class 1 Construction Management Engineer:
Can manage sites as a “supervising engineer” for large-scale, important construction projects.
There are no restrictions on the scale of the construction work they can be responsible for.
Class 2 Construction Management Engineer:
Can manage sites as a “chief engineer” for relatively small-scale construction projects.
There are restrictions on the scale and type of construction work they can be responsible for.
Note: About Assistant Engineers
Due to legal revisions in 2021, those who pass the first examination will be qualified as “Assistant Construction Management Engineers.”
