施工管理とは、建設工事を計画通りに、安全かつ高品質で進められるよう現場全体を統括・管理する仕事です。いわば工事現場の「現場監督」や「指揮官」にあたる役割で、工事が契約に基づいて設計図書どおりに完成するよう、様々な調整と監督を行います。
主な業務は、以下の「4大管理」を適切に実施することです。
1. 工程管理
工事全体のスケジュールを管理し、納期までに完了するように調整します。
- 具体的な業務：資材や人員の手配、作業の進捗監視、日々の作業指示など。
2. 品質管理
完成物が設計図書や仕様書の基準を満たしているかを確認・管理します。
- 具体的な業務：使用する材料の選定・確認、品質検査、必要に応じた修正指示、現場写真の撮影・整理など。
3. 安全管理
現場で働く作業員の安全を確保し、労働災害を防ぐための管理を行います。
- 具体的な業務：安全設備の設置・点検、作業員の体調管理、現場の安全パトロール、作業員への安全教育（危険予知活動）など。
4. 原価管理（コスト管理）
工事にかかる費用（材料費、人件費など）を予算内に収めるように管理します。
- 具体的な業務：発注書・見積書・請求書の処理、資材の適切な発注・管理など。
上記に加えて、施工計画の作成、発注者や設計者との打ち合わせ、各種書類作成などの事務作業も重要な業務に含まれます。
基本的に管理業で、結構暇な仕事だよ。給料が良いのと手に職が付くのでおすすめです。
正直、自分には向いてると思ったことなけど続けているよ。給料が悪くないんんでね。
家庭できたらお金だよね。結局。まあ家庭もっていないけど。
1年目は7：00〜21：00が出勤就業だったよ。たまに午前様で2：00〜4：00で部屋戻ってシャワー浴びて仮眠して出勤とかあった。
キツイと思ったことなけど。基本的にずっと座ってパソコンなんでめっちゃ暇。
プラント行ったときは座る時間長かったんで通常よりさらに暇ではあったな。んでなんもないとき現場散歩してた。隠れて時間潰すってゆうね。携帯いじれるんで。
個人的には監督と喋ってるより職人と喋ってる方が楽しいよね。馬鹿話が楽しいよね。
監督とそんな話しないもんな、合わないんだろうな。合わせられないし。
ただ給料良いのと手に職なんでおすすめの職業です。
資格とって現場経験あれば転職先もあると思うので、食いっぱぐれ無いと思う。
建物は無くならないと思う。

The main duties involve properly implementing the following “four major management” tasks.
- Process Management
Manage the overall construction schedule and ensure completion by the deadline.
Specific duties include arranging materials and personnel, monitoring work progress, and issuing daily work instructions.
- Quality Control
Ensure and manage that the finished product meets the standards of the design documents and specifications.
Specific duties include selecting and confirming materials, conducting quality inspections, issuing correction instructions as needed, and taking and organizing site photos.
- Safety Management
Ensure the safety of workers on site and manage to prevent workplace accidents.
Specific duties: Installing and inspecting safety equipment, managing worker health, conducting on-site safety patrols, and providing safety training (hazard prevention activities) to workers.
- Cost Management
Manage construction costs (materials, labor, etc.) to stay within budget.
Specific duties: Processing purchase orders, estimates, and invoices, properly ordering and managing materials, etc.
In addition to the above, important administrative tasks include creating construction plans, meeting with clients and designers, and preparing various documents.
It’s basically administrative work, so it’s a pretty boring job. I recommend it because the salary is good and you can learn a skill.
Honestly, I never thought it was right for me, but I continued working here. The salary isn’t bad.
When you have a family, it’s all about money. After all. Well, I don’t have a family, though.
In my first year, I worked from 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Sometimes I’d work until 2:00-4:00, come back to my room, take a shower, take a nap, and then go to work.
I never found it tough, though. I basically sit at the computer the whole time, so I’m super bored.
When I went to the plant, I spent a lot of time sitting, so I was even bored than usual. Then, when I had nothing to do, I’d walk around the site. I guess I could kill time by hiding. I could use my phone.
Personally, I find it more fun talking with the craftsmen than the supervisor. It’s fun to ramble on about nonsense.
I don’t talk like that with the supervisor, so I guess we just don’t get along. We can’t get along.
But the pay is good and it’s a skilled trade, so it’s a recommended job.
If you get certified and gain experience in the field, I think there are jobs available, so I don’t think you’ll go hungry.
I don’t think buildings will ever disappear.
